Since the beginning of 1952 and until now, the Topaz plant has been specializing in serial production of radar artillery control systems intended for location and acquisition of air, coastal, surface targets and in naval artillery fire control, and also in erection supervision, adjustment and commissioning works; in putting the products into service on the building ships; in warranty service and maintenance; in technical assistance in introduction of new items on the ships.

During its production activity, the Topaz Plant launched the serial production of Laska МR-103, МR-104, МR-114, МR-145, МR-184, TIR-184, 5P-10-03, 5P-10-03E radar control systems, fabricated more than 1.800 sets of these products, of which more than 840 set for export.  Besides that, the plant manufactured the pilot samples of all above-listed articles, as well as MR-124 RCS, the article Podacha for the Bereg system, the devices for Osa-M and Kinzhal-SUA systems. (All products were designed by Design Bureau Ametist JSC ).

The plant is equipped with special test benches for combined adjustment and testing of all radar control systems (RCS) produces by the enterprise.  The production is organized in the form of captive manufacture and has the following structures:
- assembling,  adjustment and commissioning department;
- machining blank and machining process department, including frame stamping;  plastic processing and heat treatment department;
- electroplate and paint-and-lacquer coating workshop equipped with special line for electroplate silvering of HF waveguide units.

At present, the main activities are:
- production of radar control systems for Russian ships being built as well as for foreign customers;
- carrying out of all types of production tests (acceptance, conventional, periodical and qualification tests);
- manufacturing and preliminary testing of pilot samples of radar control systems or their components, generally by order of the Design Bureau Ametist JSC.
- carrying out of erection supervision works as well as dockside, performance and state testing of the plant’s production in the ship-yards;
- warranty service and technical maintenance of products, operated by the Navy and by the foreign customers;
- medium and major repair of the plant’s production (including component replacement) in the ship-yards;
- fabrication of SPTA sets of different purposes (loose, repair, group, of continuous service) upon the agreements with the fleet and for foreign customers;
- execution of works requiring the usage of the National security information;
- maintenance of mobilization readiness in line with the state program of the 2000 year.
